House Upon the Rock Ministry is an international ministry, based out of Canada, since 2002. We minister to people living primarily in the mountains of the Dominican Republic, helping with their physical needs with the main purpose of bringing each person closer to God. House Upon The Rock Ministry is committed to fostering the growth of the poor, both physically and spiritually, through:
- our medical clinic
- construction ministry
- school sponsorship program
- hosting mission teams
- training for local pastors
- biblical conferences
La Clinica de Pedregal
La Clinica de Pedregal opened its door on 23 February 2003 in order to provide quality medical care to those who could otherwise not afford it. We have over 15,000 patients who come from surrounding areas and as far as Haiti. Our clinic offers general medicine, tropical disease, gynecology, obstetrics, and optometry. We have a supply of medication so that we can give our patients “doctor samples” of what they need. The main goal of the clinic is to provide for our patients’ spiritual concerns. We pray with every patient and their families; we offer our time to listen as our patients share their stories. We share God’s love, God’s word and the Bible with our patients and their families.
Dra. Wendy Diaz is the clinic’s doctor. Dra. Wendy is a family practitioner and also is a certified family therapist.
Mercedes Bueno is the clinic’s nurse.
Local pastors, church leaders and believers have very little training and even less opportunities to receive teachings and training. House Upon The Rock seeks to change that. We bring in Bible college professors, speakers and pastors from all over North America who come to teach local pastors, church leaders, and whoever else is interested on a variety of topics and themes. We work together with the local Pastors’ Associations and local churches to put on conferences and workshops that are specifically aimed at the spiritual needs of the area..
If you are interested in sharing your talents by participating in or leading a conference or workshop for local pastors, church leaders, and lay people, please contact us directly via email.
